The process in creating my artwork "Koon Seng Road at Dawn" was inspired by the pastel shades of the shophouses along the famous road in Joo Chiat. I wanted to capture how the melange of patterns, colours and the magical charm of the area felt to me, in an abstract manner.  The COVID-19 pandemic has also been a damper for many in the art community and beyond. During this trying period, I have been utilizing brighter and lighter colours in my art to brighten up my day and everyone's instagram feeds. You can say that this artwork is a product of its time and place.
