Angel Falls, or Salto Ángel, in Venezuela's Canaima National Park, is the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall, with a total drop of 979 meters (3,212 feet). The majestic cascade tumbles over the edge of the Auyán-tepui, a massive tabletop mountain. Named after American aviator Jimmie Angel, it is a remote and stunning natural wonder.
